Creating Places of Purpose.

Nearly ten years after its launch, the Studio G Architects website no longer reflected the firm’s evolution or the quality of its work. It also posed a significant operational risk. Built on a proprietary platform, the firm was left without technical support or an upgrade path when the developer closed in 2023. This redesign transformed that vulnerability into a strategic opportunity.

Clockwork worked with the brand to refresh their visual identity and rebuild the site as a modern, flexible platform centered around their people-centered design, driven by inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation to address environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Key features include:

  • Purpose-Driven Messaging: The new research-based homepage positioning and copy throughout the site imparts the brand’s mission and diverse team’s passion for the work, deeply resonating with staff, clients, and prospects.
  • Inclusive Design: A beautiful website design is paired with an intuitive user interface for an enjoyable, accessible experience for all visitors, including people with disabilities. The site follows inclusive design principles for web accessibility, aligning with inclusive culture and design philosophy.
  • Dynamic Portfolio: Projects are presented as engaging and scannable narratives. Benefit-driven headings and project visuals are paired with deeper context in a storytelling format to appeal to prospective clients and community stakeholders. Robust portfolio filtering also helps visitors quickly qualify the firm.
  • Future Forward: Built on an open-source, well-supported, scalable, and easy-to-use CMS, the new site is ready to carry the firm forward. Studio G also has access to analytics data for the first time.

“The website felt genuinely people-focused, easy-to-navigate, and engaging. It helped me quickly understand the firm’s values, culture, and goals in a way that made it easy to connect with the company as an applicant.”

New Hire

A Brand to Match.

Over the years, a clear visual identity did not keep up with the growing firm. Colors shifted. Collateral varied. Beyond a cosmetic update, the brand refresh was a strategic act of clarity — aligning how Studio G Architects presents itself with who it has always been.

For the redesign, we kept what worked and modernized as needed to maintain brand recognition and trust. For the first time in the firm’s history, every touchpoint was unified: stationery, website, proposal templates.
